Sufficient

The word sufficient is defined as " enough to meet the needs of a situation or a proposed end". When God says that his grace is sufficient for us he is saying His grace is enough to meet the needs of a situation or a proposed end. God called us to himself, we didn't choose him he chose us before we were even aware of what he was doing in our lives. Too often I find myself shying away from God when I know that I wasn't portraying Christ as much as I should in a day, acting as if God wouldn't want to talk to me just because of my actions, but what a ridiculous lie that I have been believing. God wants us to come to him during those times, His grace is sufficient for us. He is enough for us. Even when we think we aren't going to make it in school, or our family situations, or work, or finances God is ENOUGH!!! He will see us through because we are his children and he longs for us to love him to come to him to be comforted. Pride is what keeps us from fulling receiving God's grace in our lives, we must be humble and accept God's grace in our lives even when we think we don't deserve it. I heard someone say the other day that Pride could be known as not accepting the way that God sees you, or believing a distorted view of how God sees you.

Lord, I ask for humility which is full dependence on you! I don't want to do this on my own anymore. Everything I do I want it to be because of your grace and your will. Humility!
