Meet and Greet

So this past weekend Shawn got to meet his birth dad and half brother. It was pretty exciting I must say! Though the pictures may deny it I think he looks a lot like his half brother. He doesn't look much like his birth dad, slightly I guess, but his mannerisms were definitely like Shawn's. You would think that mannerisms would be genetic. We went to see David (birth dad) read poetry at Barnes and Noble.

I must say those poetry readers were much like the stereotype one would put on a poet of their age. There were four readers in all the youngest being David. The other three were quite interesting and if I hadn't known it was a poetry reading I might not have known. They were more like short stories. David's were good though and actually sounded poetic. All in all it was a good experience.
