Faithfulness
I will never get tired of proclaiming the Lords Faithfulness.
Psalm 36:5
5 Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.
Psalm 86:15
15 But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
Psalm 89:1
1 I will sing of the LORD's great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.
These are just a few verses that speak of the Lord's continual faithfulness. I want to say that so far this semester the Lord has been overwhelmingly faithful.
For starters, I passed my summer class. This alone is enough for praise!!!
When I began my analysis class this fall, I knew going into it it was going to be a difficult class. My professor starts the class out with "this is the hardest class you will ever take, be prepared to feel dumb ALL THE TIME". She said "OVER 50% of students fail this course the first time through". I thought wow, what a way to start a class. BUT she said all of this with jubilant hope in her voice, because 4 years ago a professor from UT Austin was distraught at hearing how many students were failing her analysis class. So she went to work researching and studying her students to see why they weren't passing. In the three years of her research she found some very effective ways of teaching her class and saw marked improvement. She shared her material with another professor at UT Austin and he also had success. WELL this semester that same professor has shared her material with my professor to see if it will help us. I mean seriously, God was thinking about me 4 years ago! I am overwhelmed by the Lord and his goodness.
I mean yes that was great news hearing about analysis, you may wonder how could it get better than that, right? Well here we go...last year I calculated all the credits that I was still in need of and saw that I would graduate May 2012. This was going to make me a 5 year senior. I wasn't happy about this but I accepted it for what it was and determined in my heart I would continue with excellence. When I was calculating all of this I was unaware that the school had added two extra classes to the mathematics degree plan, so I was adding these into the list of classes I still needed to take. Well I was informed earlier this week about the added classes and was told that since I came in under the old mathematics degree plan that I would not be required to take the two additional classes. Do you know what this means??? I won't be graduating May 2012, BUT Dec 2011!!! One semester earlier than I thought! Woot woot! (This is all being said if I pass all my courses!)
The Lord is good, even when I don't deserve a thing!
