The mystery of God

The more I learn about God, the more I think I really don't know him. He does things that are counter intuitive to what humans would do. I've been reading the story of Rahab who was a prostitute and a Canaanite who the Lord called out and had her become one of his people. She was in Jesus' lineage. Bathsheba and King David who committed adultery together also was in the lineage of Christ. This is not the way one may think God would do things. I am so glad that God does do things this way though because it shows us how much grace and mercy we need to have with those around us.

He is a God of mystery which I am thankful for. I mean who would want to follow a God who you understood fully? Who never made you wonder? I surely would not want that. So I marvel at the mystery's of God and hope my heart is always open to his way of doing things.
