I am going to Ghana!
We just booked the tickets for Ghana Africa! I tell you what, the Lord is doing good things! The money for this trip has just flowed into our laps. I felt like every time we turned someone was giving us money towards our trip. He is so good and so faithful.
When I first heard about the Ghana trip my heart ached to go back, but as I weighed all the things I had on my plate and thought about the $2800.00 I would have to raise, I decided it would be "wiser" to sit this trip out. Each week during missions month, Ghana, Africa was talked about and my heart ached all the more. I didn't even pray about it at first because subconsciously I knew the Lord was calling me to go. Then the last week of missions month during worship I asked the Lord what he wanted me to do. He reminded me of his faithfulness and that he would carry me through this semester, but I needed to be obedient to him and go on this trip. I needed to step out in faith. So I called Marvin up and told him and he asked me to lead the trip with Rex (which I knew was going to happen, thus the reason I was so hesitant to say I would go). BUT on the other side of this season of CRAZINESS I can say that the Lord's faithfulness and encouragement has never been stronger. He has blessed me beyond what I can express. Not only has almost all of my trip been paid for BUT he has gotten me through this semester and has given me favor with my professors! I don't even deserve anything from him BUT he gives to me still.
I still have two weeks and two days left of school and 45% of my grade left in one class so anything could happen. But I am believing that the Lord is carrying me through this and like he says in 1 Peter, he has given me everything I need for life!
We serve a good God! May we bless your name and bring you glory in all we do!
