Summer
I have officially finished my finals and feel relieved that this semester has come to an end. From here on out my time in college is a downward slope! Student teaching and then one more class; that is a total of 9 hours left! I got this in the bag for sure!
This past weekend was Shawn's and my start of keeping track of how many miles we will bike this summer. Unfortunately, we only got in 11.5 but it was because on Sunday we were baby sitting. I think 11.5 miles is a pretty good start. It was my first ride in my clipless pedals and can I say that it was remarkable? I didn't know I could ride that fast. Honestly, Shawn has been trying to talk me into getting clipless pedals since we started biking but I was always so afraid of them. I would have to say that it was perfect timing for me to get these pedals. I only fell once, but felt pretty bad to the bone with blood dripping down my leg as I past some fellow bikers. So far this summer my legs look terrible and I have tried my best to apply vitamin E and neosporine (or however you spell that) to assure that my legs would heal without scaring but I may have to give up any chance of having flawless legs. I think it is a sacrifice I must make if I want to be a good mountain biker.
All in all this weekend was great! I didn't have to study at all, what a foreign feeling this was. I repeatedly shouted at Shawn, "WE DON'T HAVE ANY HOMEWORK" out of my excitement!
