Anne of Green Gables
I have been reading Anne of Green Gables and I must say I love Anne so much! I think the reason I love her so much is because she isn't like me at all. I am so much more like Diana. More cautions, less imagination. I am sad at this thought but then again that is who I am and I can't really be sad that I am anything else.
I just got back from Austin and it was AMAZING! Talk about a place where I could totally get caught up in things that don't need my attention. For example, I don't think there is one unstylish person who lives in Austin and every person is strongly defined by their choice of beer, art, and music. If you don't like those three things then maybe you are not a true Austinian. Everything was unique, almost like everyone bought their things from etsy, homemade and local! Most things were organic, local, homemade, or vintage. I loved it! I am kind of glad I don't live there though because there's too much pressure to be "different". I sometimes can't be that person, who is the most unique, artistic and musical. Most of the time I just like to blend in (though I may not want to admit that). I am happy being me even if it's not the most imaginative or artistic. I don't think I could always say that, but recently I have been happier with who I am even when I find I am sometimes boring. Maybe turning 26 is a new turning point in my life! So glad!
If you've never visited Austin please make time to do so!!! It's a must!
