Les Miserables

Les Miserables was an exceptionally wonderful movie.  I must say, although I knew it was a musical, I thought there was going to be more dialogue since they made it into a movie.  Nevertheless, it was beautiful.  The character that made the biggest impression on my was Javert (Russell Crowe's character).  I felt his conflict through the whole movie.  He wanted justice for a man who broke parole, even though this man had changed and was clearly positively effecting people's lives.  The only thing he cared about was justice.  He couldn't wrap his mind around grace.  I do this very thing.  Justice for the wrong done again me, against my family, my friends.  I get blinded by it and can't see that grace is what is needed.  I pray that grace would flow from me.  God graciously saved my life and allows me to live a full life.  May I do the same.
